Benefits of each ingredient:
Yarrow
Yarrow is named after the mythical Greek hero Achilles—has a long history of being used to care for wounded soldiers on the battlefield, earning it the title "Herb of the Military." Traditionally used to help slow minor bleeding by supporting the body's natural clotting process, yarrow has also been valued for helping support wound healing, calm inflammation, and help protect the skin from unwanted bacteria. Rich in naturally occurring flavonoids and sesquiterpene lactones, it has long been recognized for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. In addition to supporting cuts, scrapes, and burns, yarrow has also been used to help support skin repair while minimizing the appearance of scars as the skin heals.
Calendula
Calendula, often referred to as the "Gentle Herb," is known for its mild yet remarkable ability to support the skin's natural healing process. Traditionally used to help calm inflammation, support wound healing, and help protect the skin from unwanted bacteria, calendula has long been a trusted herb for cuts, scrapes, burns, bruises, and other irritated skin conditions. It has also been valued for supporting the production of healthy new connective tissue and blood vessels during healing, making it especially beneficial for wounds that have been slow to heal. Calendula has been described as helping to "clean wounds from the inside out," while renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar refers to it as a "wonderful herb for babies" because of its gentle nature and ability to soothe conditions such as cradle cap and diaper rash.
Directions:
Apply directly to clean cuts, scrapes, sores, minor burns, chafing, or other areas of irritated skin as needed.
Available as a traditional salve or a convenient solid stick for easy, mess-free application on the go.
For external use only. Perform a patch test on a small area of skin before first use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Avoid use if you have a known allergy or sensitivity to plants in the Asteraceae family, including ragweed, daisies, chrysanthemums, calendula, or yarrow.
Do not use products containing yarrow during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are taking medications, consult your healthcare provider before use.
